Celebrating 60 Years of Water Resources Research, Professional Development, and Education about Water Resources and Related Issues

The American Water Resources Association (AWRA), Universities Council on Water Resources (UCOWR), and National Institutes of Water Resources (NIWR) are all turning 60 years old! This 60th Anniversary Celebration brings together multidisciplinary water resource professionals who have spent their careers being the voice for the water resources industry and supporting emerging leaders to leverage each organization for their professional development and growth.

Join us for the Opening Reception & 60th Anniversary Party on
Monday, September 30th from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

Enjoy food and drinks while networking with other conference attendees, exhibitors, and viewing poster presentations. This time will include the student poster competition.

  • AWRA’s Mission - AWRA is the primary multidisciplinary association for information exchange, professional development, and education about water resources and related issues. Our mission is to advance multidisciplinary water resources education, management, and research.
  • UCOWR’s Mission - UCOWR expands the capacity of universities and their partners to address current water resources challenges through sharing expertise, fostering leadership, and developing interdisciplinary collaborations.
  • NIWR's mission - NIWR is comprised of the 54 university-based centers that were established by the Federal Water Resources Research Act. It is charged with arranging for research that addresses water problems or expands understanding of water and water-related phenomena, aiding the entry of new professionals into the water resources fields, helping to train future water scientists and engineers, and transmitting research results to water managers and the public.

 

REGISTRATION NOTE & CANCELATION POLICY

AWRA Code of Conduct

All conference participants (presenters, moderators, panelists, attendees, etc.) must adhere to the AWRA Code of Conduct and must register at the appropriate registration rate. AWRA Gateway members are not eligible for discounted conference rates. The registration fees are the major source of funding for the Conference, and the sharing of registrations is prohibited - every person attending the conference must register. For presenters, if two or more individuals will be presenting, each individual must register for the conference. This includes: all technical session presenters; all panel session presenters; and all poster session presenters.

Cancelations must be made in writing. Those cancelations received by August 9, 2024, will be subject to a processing fee of 30% of the total fees. No refunds will be given after August 9, 2024, but we can transfer your registration to someone else. The transfer must be completed by September 16, 2024. Abstract submission fees are nonrefundable. Refunds will be processed after the conclusion of the conference. Conference location decisions are guided by AWRA's policy.
